T41-4 Main Board Prototype

The experiments continue! Here is a demo of a T41-4 receiver which is based on the TAC5212 codec IC:

The T41-4 prototype Main board features a prototype TAC5212 codec module. The TAC5212 module replaces both the Teensy Audio Hat and the PCM1808 ADC module. This makes for a very streamlined and easier to build Main board.

The software required to configure the new codec is quite small. It is only a few lines of I2C commands. However, the documentation is almost 300 pages long, and the device has many, many features. The challenge is digging out only the stuff you need!

This new prototype will require extensive testing before it is deemed worthy of release. Sourcing of the TAC5212 module is unknown at this time.

Next up is coding the transmitter configuration, and hopefully testing of a working transmitter!
